golden castel

racehorse shares are now all sold

WOW-what a stunning filly, who screams "CLASS & VALUE".

This filly is by champion race horse CASTELVECCHIO, and after our first inspection, she became a priority purchase. Not only was her sire an outstanding race horse, but her grand-dam, Sing Hallelujah, produced none other than champion sprinter HAY LIST.

Hay List is probably best known for being World Champion sprinter Black Caviar's bridesmaid, but we shouldn't forget that he won 15 races, 3 of those at the elite Group 1 level! Those wins included the Newmarket Handicap, All Aged Stakes and the Manikato Stakes.

The dam, Golden Statue, was herself a 2-time winner, and has had 5 foals to race for 3 winners. One of the winners, Gold Pattern, is trained by John Thompson, and that's where this filly will be trained. It makes sense to send her to someone who already knows the breed.

She's a very correct type, with clean x-rays and scope. She has a strong shoulder, quite leggy, with a beautiful big hind-quarter for plenty of power.

PRIZE MONEY

THE SIRE: CASTELVECCHIO

Castelvecchio was a phenomenal racehorse, who won 4 of his 13 starts and earned just under $3M in prize money. He's probably best known as a middle-distance horse, as he won the Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600) and Rosehill Guineas (2000), but we mustn’t forget he also won the $2M Inglis Millennium as a 2YO over 1200.

That's a pretty handy spread of winning distances, so it shows you versatility, and we believe it will be shown in his progeny.

THE DAM: GOLDEN STATUE

What a job this mare is doing, with 5 foals to race for 3 winners. She had 2 wins and 2 placings from only 9 starts!
She is a sister to Sing Hallelujah, who not only produced champion and multiple Group 1 winner, Hay List, but also produced Miss Siska, a 2-time group winner.
